I first baked these for my kids one Halloween years ago. I have long since lost the muffin recipe book I got this from, and after looking, it seems out of print. If any of you know where it came from, please let me know! Simply put, the best muffins I have ever had, any time of year.

Ingredients
1 ⅔ cup all purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp of pumpkin pie spice
1 tsp of baking soda
¼ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
2 large eggs
1 cup plain pumpkin pie filling
½ cup (1 stick) of butter, melted
1 cup of chocolate chips
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease muffin pan, or use foil or paper baking cups.
Mix flour, sugar, pie spice, baking soda, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Break eggs into another bowl. Add pumpkin and butter, and whisk until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour over dry ingredients and fold in with a rubber spatula until dry ingredients are moistened.
